Journal

Where I'm at. posted Jul 27th 2008, 11:52PM
Mood: BoredMusic: The Forest Naval - Pikmin
It is somehow not in my nature (nor has it ever been apparently) to write a serious journal entry on SheezyArt, and the more I recall the kind of journals I have written in the past the more I'm willing to change gears. But more than that I'm simply trying to bring you all up to speed on whatever I've been doing since I last told everyone, you know, what I've been doing.

And it isn't much.

Nothing that's important, anyway. Sure, many things have happened to me personally and around me, but it isn't enough to warrant explanation on an SA journal. So instead of that I'll just talk about video games or something.

VIDEO GAMES THEN!
This year has been pretty good to me as far as great games go. And when I talk about 2008 I'm not limiting myself to games that were only released in this year, but more like games that I've played and completed.

But I'd really like to emphasize on the games that have been released ages ago which I have never played before, such as Snatcher for the Sega CD, or Pikmin 2 (GCN) and Bully (PS2). All fun games, most of which made my new list of favorite games. I'd recommend them to anyone reading who hasn't played. Especially Snatcher.

This year has also given me more reason to stick to handheld titles. Games such as Apollo Justice and Advance Wars: Days of Ruin have really brightened my days in a post-apocalyptic future. I've gotten more replay value out of Advance Wars than probably any handheld I've ever owned (Okay, not Pokemon. At least not yet.)

I wasn't going to talk about how disappointed I was with Nintendo at E3, since everyone else seems to be doing that well enough without me. I am however really looking forward to Animal Crossing and having the chance to use WiiSpeak with friends online. Hopefully no delays come Christmas will be ruining that chance.

Also, I'm playing World of Warcraft.

Aside from video games though, this summer, in a sense, is almost over for me. As I get ready to depart for college in about 15 days I start to let my mind wander onto certain things. And with me one thing always leads to another, and honestly, I'm starting to feel sad whenever I think about it. My life is changing, and while I'm ready to take what it can throw at me, I'm worried about whatever is coming, not just for my education and career but for me as a person, and everyone in my life whom I care about. Unpredictability is what's killing me, but only because I try and think about what will happen too often. Anyway, I'm gonna stop talking now.

I can't shake the feeling that I forgot something, either. Anyway, if you actually read this, thanks.
